I took delivery of my XLT Superduty on March 30. My first mileage check was on an 80 mile non-stop trip driving 55 - 60 mph in stock form. I was easy on the accelerator and got 17.3 mpg. Later I took two round trips, after the truck had 1000 mies on, and drove on the average 75 mph on the interstate on 250 mile round trips. I got 14.5 and 14.7 on those two trips before I had the Gear Vendors and Banks Trans Command installed. I have not had an opportunity to check mileage again under similar driving conditions since installing the aftermarket products, as we left on June 2nd for the summer pulling our 5th wheel.
As far as mileage pulling, I am running about 18,000 pounds total, truck and trailor with a 5th wheel. My poorest mileage was going around Toronto at 70 mph into a headwind. I got 7.6 mph after converting from liters to gallons. My best mileage has been 9.8 with no wind. On the average, we usually run between 8.5 and 9 mpg. I love this truck and it has turned every head in Canada when I drive by with droves of people comming to talk about it. Most people have said its the nicest looking truck they have ever seen. The truck is white, with a white nose guard and full length running boards with fendor extensions, and a pollished stainless steel Turbowing. The running boards are in Silver Metallic. I also have a Pace Edwards Roll Top Cover. We are pulling a Jayco Designer 3030 5th wheel. I have 4 white lighted grab bars by the doors from J&J Enterprizes that give it a Limo look. The liscense plate is Wisconsin "LIKE N IT". LOVE N IT was already taken. Many people have said the plates should say LOVE N IT.
The Gear Vendors and Transcommand are wonderfull. We are presently on The Cabott Trail in Nova Scotia and it pulls the hills like a breeze. The Gear Vendors gives me a half a gear in-between each gear and a double overdrive which at 70 mph brings me down to 1900 rpm's. The engine purrs like a kitten.
The only thing I plan to add is "The Banks Power Pack" because I just have to have it!
Loving this truck. It rides like a dream. Also have B.F. Goodrich "Velvet Ride" rear spring schackles.
If you have guestions, you can E-mail me at summerlillys(No Email Addresses In Posts!) or post. It may take awhile to respond, as I do not always have accesso the Internet.

Roger,
You're trucks specifications are sort of close to what I have on order:
F-250SD, Lariat, Crew Cab, Short Bed, 4X2 3.73 Limited Slip, & Auto-trans
The fuel economy you got while easy on the accelerator and keeping it under 60mph (17.3 mpg) has me hoping for the same. The mpg at 75pmh (14.5-14.7) is what I've been hearing for those peeking out around 70mph, so not bad.
How about some more detail info on the Banks Trans Command and the Gear-vendors over/under drive. I have been considering the over drive unit to help the un-loaded fuel economy. Was the mpg you quoted with the overdrive engaged?
Thanks,
Will
