I got a Diablo Delta 3 stage chip for my 04 5.4 F250 and was wondering if anyone in the Nashville area could show me how to install this thing correctly, as I don't have a clue I would of course pay in domestic funds or imported beer your choice

I took the chip to a local shop here in Nashville and had them put it in, but to be honest I've put around 500 miles on so far and I can't tell anythig. I bought a 3 stage chip, stock, high performance, and towing.
So I'm not sure what the problem is or how to solve it???

do you have intake, exhaust and gauges. With an extra 110 hp I would think you could tell a huge difference. Without intake and exhaust I would think that it would restrict it some, but should still be able to tell a difference.

I would like a chip, but don't want to void my warranty yet.

 

I have a Airaid intake and a straight pipe on there. but can't tell nothing.

 

that is amazing, I was thinking of the 6.0 motor but still.... What kind of increase are you suppose to see with the setting on a 5.4 gasser? Kind of curious about a straight pipe to, bieng a gasser it would have to go through emissions wouldn't it?

 

I want to say the chip around 30 hp and the intake another 10hp the pipe not sure about hp?
I was told with it being a 04 model that they hook it up to the computer and not the tailpipe so I will find out for sure when that times comes.

 

hooking it up to the computer is probably right. From my understanding the chip + intake + pipe doesn't equal total horsepower. They all get skewed together to come up to a number less. But nonetheless the chip should be closest to being what it actually gives you. wouldn't think 30 hp would be a great difference, is that it's high performance tune? The 7.3 chip will give like 110 additional horses.
