Truxedo vs Access covers.......
Does anyone have an opinion on either the Truxedo soft top or Access roll up cover? I'm considering getting a top for my truck but don't really want the hard shell style. I considered the K cover also. What are your thoughts on quality, fit, looks, etc.... of these types of covers?

I had a Truxedo low profile cover installed last week on my Scab, a shopped around prior to buying and liked this one the best, lifetime on everything can't sneeze at that.
I liked the idea of the roll up ribs and the locking feature, since my tailgate locks too. I purchased 303 protectant to use on it, this stuff works on eveything. tires, leather, vinyle, etc. As to the cover it cost $419 plus tax installed, by the way I have a 61/2'
bed

I've had both. The Truxedo (unless they changed) you have to flip up the back of it to to close the tail gate. The Access cover does not interfere the tail gate operation. Also, rails on the Access have a wider area for the velcro to fasten & are at a 45 degree angle, IMO it's easier to fasten make look good with no wrinkles. I like the Access a lot better then the the truxedo. By the way, they both leak water.

I went with the Access "limited" version - black rails with single turn handle. only problems with it 1) if the tail gate is closed the rear roll up bar won't snap closed - you have to open the tailgate! 2) the rails extend into the box too bar to allow the bed extender to flip open - you have to manually un-latch the bed extender, pull it out and flip it around and reinstall it - yes it's a pain but doesn't happen very frequently so I can live with it. Overall fit and quality is excellent. Haven't noticed any leaking yet.

I have the Access and love it. I was parked next to a new Dodge with a Truxedo today and either it was a very bad install, or they are far more prone to wrinkling cause this thing looked awful. My last cover was the old snap on kind and the Access is a night and day improvement over that.

I have the Access - last truck had a fiberglass cover, and I will never go back. The roll-up was nice, and with a little bit of extra stick-on weather stripping from Home Depot on the front and the lip of the tail-gate, I get very little water in the bed. The weatherstripping is completely invisible with the tailgate closed.
