mine was located up under the dash its a little brown box i pick it up at a junk yard fpr 20 bucks thanks
That was the problem with mine, replaced it and they work on all speeds again. I will try to remember how I did it, look up under the dash near the ash tray, and you should see it. Just unbolt it and replace, I know it was pretty easy to replace. I think mine cost around $60 maybe through ford, it was a while ago so I don't exactly remember but it was worth it to have intermitent and slow speed for the wipers.
I think I found it, but it has a different number (FT2TB-10D840-AA)then what was listed with Ford! Maybe they replaced it with a newer one or after market! It is a black box as shown on ford, just 1 screw and out in plain sight if that is it! It also works the door chimes?!
I don't remember if it worked the door chimes but the one screw holding it in seems right. I will have to look under my dash to make sure that is where mine is but I am pretty sure it is.
when you said you replaced the switch, are you talking about the lever coming off the steering column? On my 92 the wiper control is at the end of the turn signal lever off of the steering column. If I remember correctly mine messed up a little once, I didn't replace it, I just pulled on the end of it while I turned it and then it straightened out. I am not sure if there is any contacts in the lever but maybe they are a little dirty and by pulling and turning it to the different intermittent positions it will clean it.
Also, do you still only have high speed or high and low but no intermittent?
Yes, the switch was the one in the column, still only hi speed, will try your suggestion! Is there something I'm missing< Another relay besides the black one by ashtray? Thanks
