My V10 is or was idling at about 2000rpm. I took it to the dealer yesterday for this problem and a noisey suspension. When the service manager pulled it in last night it was still idling fast but when the mechanic went to work on it this morning it was idling normal again. It had been doing this for several days before I took it in and I had pulled the plastic cover back on the throttle linkage at the fuel injector to make sure it was returning all the way to the stop which it was.
Has anyone had this problem and if so what was the diagnosis on it.

The Idle Air Control valve is sticking, possibly from carbon build up. or just bad all together.

what kind of noise are you having. i am having a slaping or clunking noise in mine.

 

The noise I have or had was a groaning noise when ever the suspension moved.There was no slapping or knocking noise.The dealer preformed TSB99-16-3 on it which replaces spring isolators which according to the remarks on the repair sheet did not eliminate all of the noise and they retightened the spring bolts at the shackles.It is a lot better but I have heard some noise a couple of times.
