C9VE 460 specs

I know a similar question has already been asked, but what about the HP/TQ ratings for a '69 460 (C9VE)? And the compression ratio?

Would I benefit from swapping to the D0VE heads?
I've read that my heads are the same, and Ive been told mine are terrible....OR are there any other heads out there that would be an improvement-factory heads that is, because I cant afford the $green$ for a set of Aluminum Cobra Jets

Also, could I have these C9 heads (if they are decent) machined to take the Cobra Jet valves, or are the port sizes and/or combustion chambers so much crappier on my heads to where it would be a waste?

Thanks in advance, and any other tech info/advice is greatly appreciated!!!

c9ve and dove are basicly the same, ive been looking into the various heads a lot since i picked up my 69 429 trying to find what all is different from my 73. the only way to really improve on them would be to put in the larger valves and port the exhaust side mostly. compression for a 69 460 was 10.5:1 365 hp and 500 ft lbs of torque.

C9VE heads are good heads, I have 3 sets and I had one set checked for combustion chamber size and the were 72cc, I have never checked the DOVE heads because I sell them as soon as I get some because they sell better because people think thier better, but I have read many books that say they have a 75-76cc chamber, (a little lower compression ratio) other than that I think the two heads are the same along with the C8VE.

To answer your question about valve size, yes the CJ size valves can be put in these heads, I have some in one set and even have 2.25/1.75 in another set.
