Exclamation 12V Power Outlet Auto Off???

Is there any way to set the cig lighter, located directly below the stereo, to shut off when the ignition key is turned off? I recently put in an XM roady, and hate having to unplug the power supply each time I get in/out of the truck.

The owner's manual says not to use the cig. lighter as a 12v power source. Why, I have no clue I've used them for years to charge my phone and run radar detectors.

Yeah, I saw that mentioned in the manual too. For what it's worth, the other 12V power outlets are always on as well.

I think, and I could be wrong, that the wiring for the 12V power outlets could be a little beefier than the wiring for the cig plug? Just a thought.
