lights out

Any one have this issue...? The other night I kicked on the brights and everything in the cab went black and the headlights completely died for maybe a second. When that happened there was a bunch of clicking sounds from the dash. Happened just for a second. I had the fan on 3, CD playing, no fog lights off.
I'm thinking when I pushed the turn signal lever forward maybe I stopped just short of actually hitting the brights... maybe?

When you push the signal lever forward, the lights in the cab shouldn't go out. The clicking sound may have been a relay. Maybe the relay that is used for the headlights was acting up. I had this happen on my old truck (Dodge) just like you described. It only did it once and never happened again.

I had a problem with my headlights turning off when they were in autolamp mode...the sensor behind the mirror had to be replaced....my cab lights never went out when this happend.

It's possibly that you've got a faulty light switch. That would probably explain why your cab and dash lights cut out as well.

Thanks for your responses. I'll keep my eye on it and post if it happens again.
