Supercharger Inquiry 4.0 Ohv
Hi all,
I'm in the process of fabricating the necesaary mounting plate and intake tube for installing a Eaton M62 on my 4.0 OHV motor. I'm looking to see how many other SERIOUS people out there are interested in doing the same. This is to calculate machining cost and material for multiple kits. Please leave a post, I'm using this as a cencus.
Thankyou
Keith
The kit will be very similiar to the BBK system.

boost
The kit I'm building uses a positive displacement blower, rather than a centrifugal. Boost will be approx 5-6. The BBK system produces a max of 7 with a slightly smaller pulley. I have as of now milled out a dummy set of plates for supercharger mounting. As soon as I get more time, I will make like three sets in aluminum. I have a connection to purchase the Eaton blowers at a really good price. Which I have already bought two. Then what will be left is the intake tube and any necessary tensioner (if needed).
Please people keep replying to this ,so I know If more people would be interested in one .
Thankyou

Will it work on a Ranger? Explorer? Aerorstar? You should maybe try out those forums, as well, to see what kind of interest in your project generates.

I'm very interested in this Research and Development. Let me know if there is anything I can do. As the extent of my Mechanics are replacing the water pump, although I am very analytical, I usually can figure things out, so just let me know if you need anything, other than money, and I'll see what i can do. Good Luck.

I need a 72 hour day!!!!!
Hi all,
I have not abandoned my build, its just that I simply dont have the time to devote to it right now. What would push things along would be if one of you guys would happen to know a place or friend who does milling, either CNC or manual. I already have 4 new eaton blowers in the box, and one used- very low mi. I'm using that one for all my work. I figured out the set of mounting plates, and made them in MDF board . As for the intake for the blower ,since the blowers inlet port is on the rear driver side. A 90 deg. stainless elbow pipe is what I plan on fabing to use. As for throttle body, to make it simpler and cheaper. I'm using a mustang type 65mm. They are WAY easier to get and cheaper than the ridiculous BBK $200+ for their 66mm. This also simplifies the idle air bypass issue. Besides who wants to give them any money anyway after they dont come through with their blower system. Yes I have heard of one or two out there, then seen their price jump up to $3599. I say let them scratch.
