last i heard ford is developing something like onstar. it would be good to call ford customer service to get a good answer on that and if they are not coeming out with it you could put in a comment that you are a customer that likes that bennifit and that you weould love to see ford have that. also onstar is a subscription. it would probly be about as cheap to get triple A. you also get more bennifits with them like the trip tick.

Well Ford has a national roadside service program. All it requires is a telephone. If you own a cell phone you have an effective solution already. Why pay an extra grand for your car for the convenience of a single button cell phone? (which is only convenient if you can get in your car). And as Deckedout pointed out a subscription to AAA would be as beneficial. The more we demand of the manufacturer the more it costs. Nothing is free, and not every convenience is value added.

Onstar was needed by GM because of their poor reliability track record. I have heard instances of tansmissions dropping out of new Cadillac rental cars in the middle of nowhere!!
