If you break a rear one, just take the rear driveshaft off and drive home in front wheel drive.

 

why? you can't go as fast

well you could, but I don't trust my t-case that much

 

mustang is right about greezenig them.

Transfercase should have no problem pulling the truck. just as long as your not raceing you should be fine.

 

Even if the front u-joints are interchangeable (which I don't believe they are) how are you going to get them off and into the new driveshaft, do ya carry a toolbox..I only do when I go wheelin'

 

I dropped one on I 95 and walked 2 miles to a phone (no cell phone) called a friend, he drove 15 miles to meet me and we changed it on the side of the road (traffic whizing by at 70+. Then when we were done we realized I could have used the 4 wheel and gotten somewhere safer. Live and learn
