Pros and Cons on electric fuel pump

Anyone have an opinion on replacing the fuel pump on my '41 with an electric one? My 6 volt pump needs to be replaced and I was wondering if an electric one would be a wiser choice, and are they easy to install?

Installing an elc fuel pump is pretty easy. Most important thing is to mount correctly, and that the output of the pump is not too high for the carb. You can buy a regualator if you need to lower pressure. Most elec fuel pumps need to be mounted lower than fuel tank. The fuel lines to connect to the FP will be no problem, just have to make up a couple of new lines. I have been running an elctric pump on my '70 Mustang for years, with no problems. It's really a personal choice, the mechanical pump is good, especially if you're engine is stock, but the elec is also good. Of course, staying with the mech pump will be less work, and have your truck back on the road faster.
