I hate to beat a "Dead Horse"
I hate to beat a dead horse, but I am new to Ford and now driving the most expensive rig in my 30 years on this planet and would like to know the following:
What is the likelihood of Ford rectifying ALL "Vibration" issues?
What is the best way to help my dealer get to the root of the vibrations?
I think for 35K, the vehicle should be PERFECT!!
Thanks for all of your input!

I can tell you by experience, it depends on how many vehicles vibrate, shake, shudder or whatever on what actions they will take.
They just bought back a 03 Expedition from me that had improperly shielded electronics. I bought it in Aug 02 right after they came out and at 4200 miles I drove by a FAA radar site and the vehicle electronics went nuts.
They had some reports of it but said it was rare, well I just happen to have to go by this site twice a week and so it wasn't rare.
They said they would have a fix. It took 13 months for them to get a fix, then they installed the fix and said, well, it's only a partial fix.
I went through the Dispute settlement board and they ordered Ford to refund my money in full, pay for add ons and sales tax.
So I am now have the F150 on order and because of the vibration issues, have real butterflies. It is suppose to be built next week, hope they have it worked out.
I will test it big time before I take it !!
Unless there are alot of vehicles with this problem, don't count on fast action. The bad thing is the vehicles are so complex these days that the dealers are at the mercyy of Ford and their engineers in trying to resolve these issues.

Not everyone is having this problem.... I have not had any problems with mine since I bought it in Dec (6.0k miles) I talked to a guy who bought the Single Cab STX and he has had no problems...
I did have some problems when I pull my gig trailer, but that is a trailer problem, not the truck. Just a small vibration. Without the trailer, just a smooth quiet ride!

Yes, I think thats important to note, probably only a small amount of people are having this issue. If I thought it was widespread, I would certainly cancel my order and get something else.
But it gives me notice to make sure it's not got the issue before I sign the papers and hand over the check.

Look at the poll that is out....
If it were only 5% maybe 10% I would say "not widespread."
What do you think now?

A chasis shudder isn't something that only a "few" owners will experience. There is no reason for only a "few" trucks to have it, as they are all designed and made the same way, using the same materials and assembly processes. I would agree that it could be limited to certain models, like the screw.

People that are enjoying their truck will never know about this site unless they are searching because of an issue (vibration), or an add on and get a hit on this site.
I don't think the 50/50 here has any merit in the real world, because most have come here because of a problem. I didn't know these sites existed until I was searching because of issues with my expedition.
That doesn't make it any better for those who do have problems, because it sucks to have problems.
I have been there and done that, it's not a pleasant experience and if I have to go through it again, I will be a GM man in a split second.
Give them 3 or 4 months to resolve it, if that time passes, request and replacement and if they refuse, go to the DSB or your states lemmon law.

Yes, new style but how long has Ford been making the F-150?
Didn't you believe the famous magazine that also stood behind the claims? I'm going to have to believe they aren't doing what a famous software company used to do. A new version then Patch 1, patch 2, patch 3....ooops...new version...patch 1, patch 2 etc...
Don't want to see the trucks I loved go down that road. It's even more of a rough ride!
If I get this fixed I'll certainly let everyone know how simple it is to download...I mean....
Keep smiling

Man I hope this doesn't turn into a lemon law ,I had to do it on a 99 dodge, for engine problem's,then the transmission fell out,go figure. I just will have to see if they can do something to fix the vibration in the floorboard's first. I really love the truck, but Im not going to get screwed either, unless it's done together with a female
