99 Expedition Mach Audio Sys

I have a new used 99 Expedition EB with the Mach audio system. I am sonsidering upgrading the speakers..

Anyone upgrade the speakers only? Anyone know the specs on the Mach system? I was thinking about upgrading the speakers with Infinitys which are highly sensetive and think it might give greater headroom/volume without having to change the factory amps.

Also I would like to add DVD player and LCD, Crutchfield has some cool consoles that will fit on the back of the center console. I just not sure if it can be integrated into the factory system?

Here is the system from Crutchfield. I'm not sure they are carrying the bezels for Expeditions anymore. As far as integrating it in, depends what you want to do. If you just want audio through the speakers, you can add an FM modulator.

That's the kit I was considering it looks great! Thanks for the picture, I have the tan interior too. Where did you put the DVD player or source?

As for integrating it into the factory system, I just want the audio to play through the speakers so the people in the back can use the factory headphone and sound controls. I guess there would have to be a separate remote/controls for the source dvd.

I had not thought of the FM Modulator but that would work, I am surprised there is not an AUX input on the headunit..

What the world needs is a 6 disc CD/DVD Changer that would work with factory controls.

I mounted the player under the front passenger seat. I only use headphones with my system. They are not integrated into the audio system. I installed the system for my 2 and 3 1/2 year olds so I prefer not to listen to what they are watching. The player came with a remote which has all controls needed.

Dude, you are quick with the digital camera. I appreciate the info, I will do some shopping. I don't have kids and don't really know why I would put the think in the back other than it would be pretty cool..

I have some other things I should do first, I really need to work out the 4x4 probs I am experiencing with the 4AWD. Think it's the tire size being off due to wear...

Thanks again for the post!
