Code 122 - TPS faulty or need of adjustment?

Hi 3.0L gurus.

I'm getting a code 122 from the ecu of a 3.0L Vulcan in an Aerostar.

Does this mean the TPS is dying, or is a simple adjustment needed?

Thanks.

DTC 122 indicates the Throttle Position (TP) sensor signal is less than the Self-Test minimum value.

Possible causes:

-- TP sensor may not be seated properly (tightened down).

-- Damaged TP sensor.

-- Open harness.

-- Grounded harness.

-- Damaged Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
