I just installed an Aero Turbine. I don't have a sound clip of it, but I just listened to the afore mentioned clip. The clip sounds a touch lower than the Aero but the Aero REALLY screams when you hit 3 Grand. A lot more than what this clip sounds like. It damn near blew my other car out of the garage. Sounded like Mario Adretti down the straightaway at Indy. You can pick up an Aero Turbine for $195. I have the stock 3" in and out on my X. It was an easy fit into existing pipes. I would recommend this to anyone. Check thier website out. www.aero-turbine.com They have sound clips of engines, unfortunately not a V10.

I found a clip of a different V10 Flowmaster exhaust. Go to the thread FLOWMASTER 40 SERIES REPLACEMENT SOUND CLIP and go to page 3 and look for the post from KAMAKAZE it has a link in the post click on it and it will take you there. Great sounding clip it is not the deep big block rumble but more of a screamin demon.

Here is the clip for anyone that is looking. http://f2.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/...ase.yahoo.com/

That sounds pretting good. I went out and had my wife run the throttle while I compared my Aero Turbine to the FM40.. The FM40 sounds more subdued than my Aero but they do sound like they are both V10's. This is a good representation of what you can expect from your V10.

I would like to point out that my Aero sounds meaner than the big rev on this sound clip. Mine only hits 3100 rpm's to scream like that.

I don't know what kamakaze's setup is, mine is 3" in and out single pipe.

This sound clip is from Monsta's sold excursion with the Muffler just welded in place of the stock one. Bigslurp why don't you post a sound clip of you aero turbine muffler for all to judge whats better.

That is mine that they abbreviated (shortened the length of). See my ClubFTE site here for a ZIP file with the full version in it. Just click on ClubFTE member link under my avatar pic to the left here

Ok, here we go folks. I have it up on my work's ftp server. Don't know how long it will last so feel free to copy it and put it somewhere better.
Go to:
ftp://ftp.mkgold.com/outgoing/
and click on the file: V10XAeroturbine.mp3 Turn it up!

Disclaimer: No Ford vehicles were hurt during the taping of this clip.

Sounds good. I might like it better than my Flowmaster if it weren't for the popping. Would have to here it in person to make a final choice.

The funny thing is that it doesn't pop except for when I drive around the block to my buddies. The first time I went over and goosed it for him it popped like that and he commented on it. That was the first time I heard it. I drove back to my house and it didn't pop when I reved it up. I went over again to record it and it pops again. His drive way is on an incline, I wonder if that has anything to do with it or if it just isn't warmed up enough. I don't know.

I agree with you that you need to hear it in person. One thing is for sure, it is a free flowing muffler and not quiet. The recording was taken about eight feet away from the tail pipe. I noticed on exhaustsoundclips.com that they like the mike right under the tailpiple.

Not too many trucks around sound like mine. That is the best part.
