i have a 99 f250 and want to install fog lights from the 01 f250.

My dash light switch has a pull out feature similar to the 01 and can anyone let me know if I can buy the 01 fog lights and wire them to my existing light switch in my 99 f250

 

I have a '00 250sd and have been trying to get the same foglights found on the '01's. I was told by several Ford Parts Rep's that these lights will likely be available in kit form this summer. The appx. price will be close to $300US. Now keep in mind I have been trying since last September to get these, they may very well be on back order for a long time.

I too have a 1999 F350. I looked over the schematics at that time (oct '98) to see about installing Fog Lamps off of the Light Switch.

I even took my switch apart. I found that Ford omitted a circuit board to use the fog lights. So . . . You need to buy a new switch, sorry!

I think the switch is around $65.00

 

Well, here's my deal with the lights. I have a 00' SD and wanted the Square lights, went to my dealer and he ordered me the lights he though were the 01's. Well, it was not, so I came here a few months ago and somebody posted a part# of F81Z-15200-AA, well I ordered those. When I ordered them it gave no description, just said that the kit came with a new switch, so I thought "I've finally found them". Well after Two backorders I got em and guess what...they're round. They do have a new headlight switch that says "pull for fog", so I'm getting close.

This kit I picked up today has Hella round lights and is nice. Only thing is that you have to cut your plastic valence between the hooks and lic. plate frame...that I'm not doing!

So, I am trying to get in touch with a ford rep on Monday the 5th to find out the deal and give him the part#'s of the 2 prior kits.

If anyone can help, please let me know.
