Today I went out to replace my 99 f350 crewcab 4x4 v10 with a new 2001 f350 crewcab 4x4 with the diesel engine.I have had a lot of problems with the truck I have now (see past posts)but hope the new one will have fewer problems.I noticed they have changed the arm rests on 40-20-40 bench seats and the cupholder in the dash (thank God) what has me puzzeled is the area that used to be the ashtray. What is that hook for? Why is the 6speed rated at 275hp and the automatic only at 250hp? Possible tranny overload like my v10 had? Well thanks for putting up with my gripes in past posts,I sure I will only have great things to say about the new truck,Even if I do have problems, it still beats driving the new Chevy (what's with the frame hanging down like that?) Blue oval 4-ever!

 

That hook is a place to hang a trash bag. Ugly hugh.
