NP 205 pto

how hard is it to come acrossed a pto for a 205. I can get a 205 for 50 bucks but if its going to cost me an arm and a leg for a pto to run a winch then i cant see the point of having my drivesfafts reworked and doing all the fab work. because i think the m50d will give in before the 1345 does.
but then again front wheel burnouts would be cool

Ebay has NP205 PTO's from time to time, I believe under $100. They're not too hard to find. Otherwise buy the case and sell it. $50 for a 205 is a steal. They're getting harder to find all the time.

I don't have personal experience with PTO's so I couldn't tell you but it looks identical to the other PTO units I've seen. One thing to look out for. I was going to try a PTO on my truck but do not have room due to my exhaust. It runs right past the PTO cover so unless I ran fenderwell exits I couldn't make it fit. Check everything first. I think (might be wrong here) that you'll also need to cut a hole in the bed.

Why don't I have neighbors like you? One of these days I'd like to pick up a spare so I can experiment with a doubler kit. Everyone is looking for that transfer case because they're tough as nails. The only downside for some people is they don't have a super low gear but it all depends on what you're using it for.

well, you should actualy have a 13-56 in there now, which you won't break. I would say just swap out your tranny for a real one, and then buy a PTO for that

its a 1345 i checked and a different tranny is just too much work. I bought the 205 yesterday and ill pick it up next weekend. Im going to have to do some real fab work to make some shifters though

i bought a new pto unit for my 205 about 5 years agoand if i remember ipaid about $350 for the unit and the cable kit to shift it. i think most pto housings are the same but the gear inside is different to match up to what it is mounted to
