C lunk when i stop and take off

Hello to all you ford lovers! recently purchased 01 f250 super duty crewcab 4x4 standard bed xlt with v10 4.30 posi.I was a chevy lover until I purchased my new truck.love it! just wanted to get some info on a little clunk when i take off also when i come to a complete stop.I noticed it more since i lifted it 6". read on the message board regarding similar problem that it could be a lose yoke that wasn't torqued properly from ford is this a common problem! also heard if you lift the rear with blocks you could get this same clunk. I retourqued the u bolts three times nothing is lose. have to admit all the chevy 4x4 solid axle truck's that i have owned and lifted 6" or 8" never experinced this type of clunk .these super duty's are hott!! I would appreciate any info regarding this problem. thank's

C lunk when i stop and take off

I have a similar problem in my 2001 4x4 F250 Supercab V10 auto 3.73 posi rear. When starting from a dead stop, I feel what seems like the transmission quickly downshifting from 3rd to 2nd to 1st. No audible clunking sound and I don't feel anything when stopping. I think it's either the transmission downshifting or the posi rear engaging. It doesn't feel like anything is going to break in the near future but it sure is annoying. Any thoughts from the gurus?

Otherwise, I absolutely love the truck!! After owning a couple of Toyota 4x4's and a Dodge 4x4, I know what it feels like to finally have a "real truck"!

C lunk when i stop and take off

I own a 2000 SD 2WD V-10 - 3.73 non-posi rear end.
I to notice a slip/almost clunk, when I am taking off from a dead stop. Feels like a yoke or something internal to the trans is slipping.
Haven't had it back to the dealer yet. Thought I would get some opinions here so I can see how common a problem it is. That way when the tell me "Never heard of this problem before", I can call them on it.

Thanks -
