After market wheels

Im going to be purchasing wheels soon, and after looking at all the wheels available i've decided to ask for some HELP!!!

I am thinking of a 16.5x9.75 wheel or 16x8(major brands) but i am very concerned with how far they will stick out past the wheel wells. I dont want my truck to look like a dodge, with 3" of tire sticking out past the wheel wells. Can anybody supply pictures or advice on what backspacing and offset look and perform the best on a superduty. want to run bfg 35" or 315 metric tires , current i have ready to install a fabtech 3.5 leveling kit and X springs and will be putting them on in june, then doing the wheels in july. are the 16's better to go with or the 16.5's?
Thanks for any help.
Billy
