Welcome to FTE! I've been away from home for a few days otherwise I would have tried to have helped you out earlier.

The BB at the begining tells that the truck came with the 60hp flathead V8 motor. According to the book the rest of the numbers only tells which one it was off the line, the first 60hp # for '40 being BB54506501.

But it seems to me like the first 4 or so may tell the # off the line with the last 4 having something to do with the model or maybe where it was made, but I still haven't found or figured out what if this idea where true. What size and body style is the truck?

Good luck! And I hope you stick around!

Clayton
