My F250 V10 should be delivered in June sometime. Anyone know of any delays due to the tire mess. Will it come with Firestones or another brand?

I just read an article ( 5-25-01) that said Ford was going to slow, or halt production at 2 truck plants to change out the Firetstone tires. It didn't say what 2 plants it would be, but i'm sure it wasn't the Kentucky plant where most, if not all superduty's come from. Also i was at my dealer today and they're running around like chickens with their heads chopped off trying to change all the firestone's off of remaining explorers and rangers, but the superduty's were just sitting still, all the shop guys and several salesmen said the steeltex AT was the best heavy duty tire on the market. So to answer your question i'd about bet if your truck is due in just a few days (early june) it's gonna have Firestone steeltex AT tires, and personally I think they're fine and completly safe.

I got 44k out of my first set of Steeltex's (had 1/8" tread left to the wear indicators) and now have 21k on my second set. So far no problems what so ever.
