Acceleration

We just purchased a Ford F650 and the top speed is 65 mph. Also the acceleration is super slow. The engine is a Cat Diesel 210hp. Is this normal?

no offense but it ain't a race car. it's built to tow LOTS of weight, not drag race.

Acceleration

Just like any vehicles there are deciding factors such as rear end ratio and transmission type,is it an automatic?Did you buy the truck off of the lot or was it spec'd out by a salesman? As far as acceleration I've driven 3126 Cats that had awsome take off power and some that were pretty sick. I'm sure your aware that top speed can be programmed by the dealer provided they have a laptop with Cat E.T.But if your gear bound at 65mph you should have a vey low gear ratio and it should take off pretty good, check and make sure you don't have a mechanical problem or maybe a boost leak
