i have a 1979 f-150 indy pace truck. the truck has been painted years ago by the first owner ( not original color scheme) im thinking of getting rid of the truck. i was wondering if anyone knew any info on the truck, such as how rare it is, and if it is in demand. thanks..

 

well since it is not original paint scheme it is worth a regular truck now. you can post what you know about it. motor tranny ect...

 

I have the Indy truck. I have searched the internet for production figures and asked other Ford truck people about it, and there's just nothing out there. There is one other Indy truck here where I live, and he had been told about 400 were built. Since many other people have seen this truck and they made 10,000 Indy Mustangs, I guessing they made much more than 400. The only people that seem to get hyped about the Indy truck are the Indy Mustang people. Maybe they are worth a little more, but I wouldn't think a whole lot more.

 

Use the search button. There was a long thread about pace trucks awhile back. They are worth more to certain people, more of a 'brag factor' than anything. But 79_F100_351M is right, it's not much of a pace truck without the original paint scheme. The exterior paint and trim is what made it a pace truck.
