Well, I am still not sure about the range of diameters available. From memory, I seem to recall that my t bars are a lot larger than .89". Mine are about 1.25". I'll measure them and report back. Also, it seems odd that the larger diameter would have more flex than the smaller diameter. I can see that this is going to be tough for me to wrap my brain around. If this gets any more involved and technical, I may need to join a mopar site. John

oldfordtrucker, a few years ago in "Hot Rod Mechanix" magazine they had an article of doing just that. Don't remember the details[seems like an Omni rack???], but they darn sure did it. If you want me to dig it out, I can. I could send/fax a copy if you are really serious. Joe

Joe Gaddy: I am too new to reply to you by E-mail (spam concerns). I would really like to have the article on the rack. If you would, please reply and let me know how to proceed with getting the info. ( I am not all that computer literate and am not very up on protocol regarding contacting people on this site or providing addresses on the net. )Thank you for the offer of help.

The FTE web site will not allow me to use the E-mail option because I have not posted 15 replies. I don't know how long it will take me to make 15 replies as I don't like to reply to discussions unless I believe I have something to offer. If you would furnish the date of the magazine article, I may be able to find it, although I have never heard of Hot Rod Mechanix Magazine. I really appreciate your cooperation.

No offense intended. I'm new to this type of stuff. We have all seen situations where someone says or does something innocently that is considered rude or impolite. I don't want to fall into that catagory. Seems like a good group on this site. Maybe I should just relax.

Mike, none taken. I've found that frequest use of the smilie icons make your responses a little better understood. Relaxing is always a good thing. About the only thing some of these guys get upset about is Chevy engines in a Ford. Overall, it's a great group...
