NEED Info : Firing order for a 63 292 engine

I just aquired a 1963 Ford F-100 4X4 292 2bbl carb and a 4 speed. The truck runs but I think the timing needs adjusting but I don't have anything to check the timing since I don't know the firing order and if the timing needs to be set at 10 degrees or 12 degrees that is usually the norm. amongist ford engines.
Please help

Firing order is 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2
The cylinders are numbered as follows:
Right bank (front to rear) is 1-2-3-4
Left bank (Driver) is 5-6-7-8

First set the points to .017 (or 26-31 degrees dwell) then set ignition timing to 6 degrees Before TDC.

firing order

I believe the rotor goes counterclockwise, is that right? I am replacing wires, cap, plugs, etc., & my firing order tags on my old wires came off in the process. Art

Thumbs up

The rotor turns counter-clockwise on my 352. I'm not sure if a 292 is the same. The rotor generally turns in the direction that the tube on the vacuum advance points into the distributor.

The distributor rotation on the 292 is ccw also. I run my timing at 10 deg before on my 64 no detonation except under very heavy load.
