I just reciently rebuilt my engine on my 1977(f250,360 engine) Ford Truck and I want to know if anyone can help me with a problem I have...........I need to know the timing order on the distrubuter cap with electronic ignition.Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks !!
Are you sure that you have a 360,my book does not show a 360 in 77.the firing order for 351w,351m,and 400 is starting with no.1 and going counter-clockwise,1,3,7,2,6,5,4,8.For 302,and 460 it is 1,5,4,2,6,3,7,8.
I also have a 77 with a 360, Mine is a f-150 ranger short bed 4x4, and every time I go to the parts store, It's either argue with them for 15 min, or order my parts for a 76,,,
You probably already know this but cylinder numbering on Ford is different from Chevy and MOPAR. Suggest you verify you are using the Ford cylinder numbering scheme. Don't ask me how I know...

Avoid the argument and just tell them it's for a 76.
