slack in the pinion

I have an 01 F350, 4x4 dually, 65,00 miles. I am noticing slack in the pinion, I think. It's not bad but seems to be getting worse. Is it a dealer fix or can it be done at home?

Have someone who knows what they are doing look at it for you....The term slack means nothing in mech jardon concerning rear ends
