I need to find a source for a speedo drive gear for a BW1345, in an 84 250,6.9IDI, T-19,3.54 gears. My local Ford guy says they are now made of unobtanium. The gear I need is the drive gear in the T case, everthing else, both cables the cruise con. thingy between the cables ck. out ok with the drill motor test.

i replaced mine about a month ago on my f150 with a 1345 and it was just like the one i took out, plastic gear on a steel bushing that is clamped between the yoke and the bearing. you just drop the drive shaft pull the yoke and speedo out of the top, pop out the seal and it should slide right out. i think it was right around $20 and the driven gear was $7 just dont forget to get a new seal to put in since you have to take the old one out.
