Whats the deal with you guys and the 6.0L. I hear alot of complaning on march03- oct03 6.0L. It seems the main problems are the oil seals injcetors and fuel pumps. Many people complain of these problems bettween mar03-oct03. It seems after and before that date every thing is fine with the 6.0L. My boss but two f-250 with 6.0L in november. They both have 10,000 miles and are trouble free. To me it seems why would ford let international have these problems this long. I personally think the 6.0L is trouble free but think what you want. If i was ford i think they would have a little chat with international about these problems or tell them to pack there bags up when the 6.0L contract ends if they wernt to fix the problems.
I myself personally don't have a new 6.0 myself but have three friends that do. Every time I have seen them I keep asking them about their trucks. They all have said that no problems with the trucks jost love them. All were purchased after June 2003. My guess that these problems are getting fewer and fewer as time goes on.
Heres the shocker, most of the problems are "made-up" by people that don't own them and aren't ever planning on owning one. I could probably quote a few people that posted that they see 6.0L's stacked up on the side of the road, and that the dealers are turning people away, which is obviously a falacy. Its sad because it hurts a good product, and it impedes any serious research. (haven't I posted this before?)

I agree 100%. In fact, it is no different than the way most around here talk about Dodge and their transmissions. They all know someone who works at a Dodge dealership who works 90 hours a week doing nothing but fixing bad truck transmissions. Right.
My pappy told me long ago:
If you make generalties you are always wrong... in some cases !
All of these statements are wrong... in some cases:
All 6.0's are bad,
Most 6.0's are bad,
None are bad .....
I do not doubt tha some people are having issues...
I also don't doubt that some are making it up,
I also don't doubt that some people are really enjoying their 6,0's
'm glad mine is fine and that I can focus my energies on more important things in life

Well, in my own opinion, as long as you take care of the truck, perform maintenance specified in the owners manual and don't abuse it on a daily basis (i.e. racing, over-hauling, etc) then you should not have a lick of trouble out of it.

You must be crazy if you think there are no problems with the 6.0, there are major problems with some of the trucks not all but they are having major problems none the less, ford recalled 62k trucks bck in april for fuel moduel and that doesnt count the injector problems or rear mail seals or the wiring harness problems. If you dont believe there are problems just go pull up all the tsb on the 6.0. most of the people posting here are loyal ford customers who want a good dependable truck and that is what they have had in the past.
I know all about the TSB's, I'm talking about the people that come in here and say they see 6.0's stacked up by the side of the road... thats total BS.
I saw a string of 6.0's the other day beside the road.
Three of them looking over the edge of the road, seems a poor Chevy truck was down in the ditch.

I just saw a Ford Tow truck with the 6.0 broke down with the hood up sitting on the side of the Highway a few day's ago. Kind of ironic, Tow truck needing a tow.. I have a heard about quite a few problems in our area from a mechanic friend of mine. My favorite one is about a couple who went to test drive one and it blew up as they were leaving the parking lot. ( Yea I don't know if it really blew up but none the less if left them stranded.) I've converted to ford from chevy year's ago and hope they pull it together....
