But..but but... Yeti, he said he wants his tires to rub!
But on a serious note, if we may, a set of Michelin LTX M/S 285/75R16D will probably last a good 70,000 miles (I got 75K out of the 235/75R16E's on my 1999) and they WONT rub. Since I can't easily find a local dealer with 255/85R16D's, I'll probably buy some 285's in a few months. They are 32.8" tall and 11.25" wide. The BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A ko 295/75E16D's are 33.2" tall by 11.5" wide but I don't know how long they last.

I took delivery of an F-350 Lariat last week, and it has Pirelli Scorpion 265/75R16's. Those "sound" like they belong on a Lamborghini rather than a SuperDuty.
They "look" small. I'd consider a larger tire when these wear. So, my question for the board...
Anyone know how Pirelli's perform? I'd like to know how many miles I can expect. Also, what size would folks to for replacement to get a better look? And, doe this mean I need new wheels.
Oh, and I don't want them to rub!
Thanks.

You got some Scorpion STRa's. These are great road tires. They wear very evenly and slooooooowly. They have great traction in rain but it's a road tire so off-road performance isn't very good. I just replaced mine today (Too bad I needed something for off-road or I would have kept them for 60,000 miles) with some Cooper LT's 255/85R16D. Seems like no one here is into skinny tires so you could use some 285/75R16D's. They're just a bit shorter than the 255/85's but about 33" tall and 11.25" wide. My 255/85's do not rub at all so far.
