Shocks Shocks And More Shocks For a 2000 4x4 SC LB
Ok girl friend complains my truck make s her chest hurt from all the bouncing, and she cant drink her diet coke in the bottle cause the bouncing makes it go flat,, I know the factory shocks are junk, but who really does make the best shock for a smooth ride on a 4x4 superduty. I have played with air pressure on the 305's i had put on and that makes no difference, just a bouncy 4x4 truck.. So i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on shocks. I mainly tow my bass boat everyday as i am a Professional Fishing guide, but my towing is a very short distance of about 1 mile to the boat ramp. I do some off roading during deer season. So is there a good all around shock for the superduty that wont make my girlfriends chest hurt? After 30,000 miles i'm sure the factory shocks are shot, though they dont seem to be leaking, we all know factory shocks are junk.

Well, I'd actually been thinking that you could offer a soothing massage after every truck ride to take care of it! ;-)

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem here, but I hate the idea of switching to a Honda Accord just for the girl's sake! What year is yours Mr. Bass? I have an 86 F-250 HD 4x4, and you feel everything! I almost feel bad seeing her sitting there, her whole body jerking violently at every bridge gapping. Being it is a Heavy Duty, I know I'll probably never get a smooth ride form her, she was designed to rip trees and haul heavy loads. I could deflate my tires a bit. I just put new Gabriel VST's on the front, haven't done the back yet. They helped a tiny bit from the stock shocks, but not much. They were only $25 a piece, but claim to be just as good as premium brand shocks. I would think the add-a-leaf would only stiffen suspension. Help me someone, I hate to see the lady in pain!
