Which chip?

I have a 1999 7.3L. What is the general concensus on which chip is the best overall, the Diablo or Superchip (or any others I don't know about)? Do either chip come with a speed unlimiter? Does either chip have any disadvantages like a decrease in engine life, stress on the trans? Does anyone have experience with realworld results as far as fuel efficiency in any of the programs? I want to purchase a chip, but like everyone else I want to make sure it is the best for me. Thank you in advance.

I run the 1705 superchip tuner real easy to use and a world of difference in performance. I have not heard of any of the chips causing problems to motor/ tranny. I gained a true 2 miles to the gallon at the pump. Youll also want gauges and exaust to monitor it good luck.

I have now had several chips, Hypermax, Diablo, and now another. I need to run the chip because of the different injectors i put in my truck. But until those, i ran a 100HP diablo chip. Very good chip IMO. I would recommend one thing, go with the diablo delta flip chip, i now have a 3 pos flip chip and its the best thing ever. You can run in a low HP economy mode or a tow mode and then when that chevy Duram*x pulls next to you switch it to your highest HP setting and watch him in your rearview. I say anything over a 75 HP chip and you might have to upgrade your trans. You also need to think about gauges if you dont have them already. And if EGTS are a problem once you get a chip you could put an exhaust system on to lower your EGTS by 150-200 degrees. Also a little sidenote, the SCMT is a great product, but you cant flip it on the fly like you can a diablo delta chip/flip chip. Something to consider.

I've got the Diablo Delta flip-chip Distinctive Dave mentioned. I've got two optional programs, in addition to stock. They are: 54hp(tow) and 100hp(extreme). I run the tow program for everyday driving, but it's nice to be able to switch to the extreme program while driving.
The extreme program gives a little better performance, and more smoke. The tow program is supposed to give better mpg, and lower EGT's, but I can't keep my foot out of it long enough to prove that.
