Does anyone know of any other manufacturers besides "TUFFY" that make tool boxes for the 5.5' box that go along the bed instead of across? Tuffy makes a product called a "truck bed side wedge storage box" reference the following link http://www.tuffyproducts.com/truckbox/053_069_075.html

It's a great idea but it doesn't quite fit in my new supercrew. I ordered one and found out the hard way that it is about 5 " too long.

 

Yes, I have the same problem too! I have a 2004 supercrew and I have a Jack Rabbit roll up cover and I need something to fit between the tailgate and the roll up cover box. I like side storage box because it frees up the storage space in the bed. Let me know where to get it. Thanks

 

I dont know for sure if this is what youre looking for, but Craftsman Makes tool boxes and storage boxes that mount behind the wheelwell (storage box can also be mounted in front of on a 6.5ft bed). You can check my gallery for pics of the ones I chose. They do offer more colors and options just check the tool catalog.

 

Thanks for the info grayflare. I'll check out the craftsman stuff. You can probably understand my problem. Looks like you do a little MX too. My Honda won't fit in that 5.5' bed with a tool box along the front.
