I6 to 351?

I have a 87' short bed with the I6 with the borg warner (?) T-18 and a 9" geared 3:55. Want to go to a 351, I have a 351W (carb) to build and was wondering what it takes to swap. Will it bolt up to the tranny? The motor is out of a 79' T-bird with a auto, so what do I need to hook it up to the manual? I want to keep the drive train setup for pulling. What about a 351M?
