Question What's up with the wrench light?

On the way to the dealer (to fix the problems they created after replacing the ring & pinion) the wrench light came on & the truck starded to run terrible! Anybody else have this happen?. If so, what was the fix?

It went into limp home mode. Quite a few on this site have had this problem. Do a search for "limp home mode".--Jack

i can understand the frustration....i gotta stop reading the 'horror' stories on here! i've been fortunate enough so far not to have any problems....and it seems i should REALLY hope i do not have any problems in the future!

price tags what they are nowadays.....i can definitely understand the frustration.

I bought it at end of November. Not sure where it was built, I'll let you know when I get it back from the dealer.

Most states lemon laws say the dealer gets 5 chances then they get one last chance for 5 days before a buy back can be applied for.
I bought a 97 150 that had a shake at 40 and 65 mph.. They did everything they could. Even swapping out the entire rear end Assembly.. It took 4-5 week for the paper work to be processed by ford but they ordered me another one....They were so backed up at the time the order took 9 weeks....I got 11000 free miles because the complaint started the day after I bought it. This is one reason that I will always buy a truck in a state that has a good lemon law.

Hey, we all got a new model year truck. Bugs are to be expected. I knew what I was getting into and have taken mine in three times now for different problems. All I hope is that I can get everything going well before 36,000 miles. Keep the complaints coming (no joke) because they will help all of us before that magic number.

Just talked to dealer (who I don't blame for the problems) says truck is as good as good as it gets for now. Ford knows about the problems & should have a fix in a month or so. I'm going truck shopping, SEE YA!!!
