fluid type damper?

Now I'm a little confused. Need a damper. O rdered a fluid type but the order got screwed up so while i'm trying to straighten it out I'm finding some who don't recommend fluid type dampers at all. Looking for the voice of experience here. Running a street 400 not more than 6000 ever, and mainly trying to help out my bearings.
