1932 ford truck cab wood blocks/ mounting wood

I purchased oak mounting wood from a reproduction parts seller and they could fit in various locations . there are no really clear indicatins of where four of thm go and the retailer has no experienc with truck restoration. the original wood has ling since rotted away and the holes for mounting to the frame are numerous. any assistanc with decitions or any resources are appreciated, luckily there is plenty more work to do before i need to use them. thanks.

Welcome to FTE! I hope that find this place usefull and interesting and we will do outr pest to help you out.

Did you say there were 4 peices or 4 unknown peices? If I remember right on the '41 there was 6 under the cab, and two for the back of the bed (the front had a huge log for support). Maybe these peices were for a car and not a truck? Or for the bed its self?

How many peices do you have? And are you sure of any locations so far?

Hey , the "logs" are the 2 of six that have a probable location the other two are about one third the length and have holes that do not clearly indicate their intended position. the logs are a good fit for the front of the cab. two of the blocks have six holes and the other mystery blocks have only one at the end. thanks for the reply!

What is the pattern of the 6 holes in the 2 blocks? And how long/shape?

Hmm, wasn't there wood used inside of the back of the cabs too? Have you tried seeing if any of them would fit back there?
