Question Holley 4160 giving me fits-- fast idle

Hey guys,
The carb on my '86 Bronco has been giving me fits. It's a Holley 4160 on a 351W with an auto tranny. Anyway, I can't get the idle down below 1000 rpm, and the other day I couldn't get it below 1800 rpm, with the engine warmed. I'm at a loss because according to Holley, that carb has idle adjustment screws on the metering blocks. Well, my carb doesn't have adjustment screws, not even stamped metal plugs over the screws. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I've tried reading over all the holley stuff I can find, but it's not been very helpful.

Thanks in advance,
Darren

there is an idle adjustment on the choke side of the carb but if u want to adjust it it is alot easier to adjust by taking the carb off cause it is hard to get too.

Ohrtman19,
Is that adjustment behind the metering block and near the choke pull-down rod?

Thanks,
Darren

Holleys are great if you don't mind tweaking them once a week. I would just take it off and put on a carter. almost never go out of adjustment and if they do they are simple to work on.

Anyone have a pic of that carb and where adjustment screws are? I have one on the 351C in my 73 Mach 1. I have been trying to find out how to adjust it. I am looking for the correct carb and intake for it though, but would like to a little info while I am running the 4160.
