HD F-150 question

Hey All,

I live in NH and have to deal with quite a bit of snow in the winter. I am very interested in the HD F-150, but even the salesman told me that they are deathtraps in the snow. Can anyone with experience in that situation give me an idea how bad the traction is? And if there is anyway to work around it, like grippier tires in the winter.
