Ditching the Factory Alarm System
I've got a '91 Explorer XLT with the factory Ford alarm system. The remote for the system is just completely and utterly done and I don't want to replace it. I have been starting the vehicle by pressing the small "bypass" button located near the hood release lever. But, I would like to just get rid of the whole issue. Anybody know how to turn the alarm system off completely so that it does not affect the ignition system and I don't have to explain how to start my truck to every valet? BTW, valet button broken as well. Thanks.
