46 drive shaft & 8 inch rear end

When I went with a 8 inch rear end out of a Granada, I assumed a new drive shaft would have to be made to match it to my 46 3 speed. Found that the 46 drive shaft was a perfect match. I just wanted to add this to the information collective. Perhaps it will help someone.

So what part of the drive shaft matched up? The yoke, joints, or companion thing? Just for reference.

The yoke, the drive shaft and both u-joints. None had to be altered. The yoke inserted into the tranny at the same depth as it did with the original rear end.
