I have a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge 3.0L Aut supercab.

First, welcome to FTE!!!

I have heard of problems with it. If you do a lot of city driving (stop and go, idling a lot) you can expect over heating problems,
battery discharge problems, and your AC will have problems.

IMHO it isn't worth it!!!

 

I was referring to the quality of the product itself, I probably wouldn't recommend it either for a lot of stop and go driving because it reduces the RPMs on all of you belt driven components. So your water pump will move less coolant when you need it most and your alternator will put out less juice which puts more strain on the battery. Also, your A/C compressor won't get quite the RPM's it was designed for. I would try to do all other permformance mods first, but if this truck is just a project truck then by all means go for it.
