I appreciate the offer and hopefully they will give you an answer....
I talked to my service manger today and go to pick up my truck tomorrow. The new turbo is installed and said there was no fluttering noise so hopefully my beast is fixed. I asked him about the boost pressure he said it was way high but didn't remeber the numbers so sorry purplewg.

Thanks and if you think about it, ask him what is normal boost. I read somewhere that the normal range is like 22-25psi. Mine at WOT will hit 32 and I have heard others record similar pressures.
How do you think Bob is ever going to recover, all he does now is say huh....what did you say...........huh........and he's thinking sure that is all he needs, more boost.

On my post down below had same thing then it started to do it while pulling also, they found carbon on the EGR valve and it had affected the turbo, they changed turbo and EGR valve. Now it doesn't do it any more and runs better then when new. about 4k miles on new stuff.

I don;t need any help getting in trouble with Bob... I never said a thing about Bob...
This actually was a legitimate question !!!!!!
As long as nothing breaks or detonation doesn't set in, how can more boost be a problem ????
OK I know I was just trying to stir the pot from the bottom
However, the only problem with more boost is that annoying sound we all get when removing your foot from the loud pedal too fast, can you imagine it with more boost.

My truck's boost was high enough i guess it was the problem that it started making the sound and missing a little when I was on the fuel at about 2800 rpms. that is when I finally got the check engine light to come on.
So Tim when it starts that is it because the fuel and air ratio is off and making it miss? Didn't know thought I would ask and see if any one else had and thoughts.
The noise comes form quickly closing the throttle and no place for the pressure to go.
That is the very short version of the noise description.
