300 I6 to 460

I have a 76 f250 trailer special with a 460 and C6. I am thinking about putting the engine and trans in a 76 f100 swb that has a 300 I6 and 3 sp man. I'll have motor mounts radiator etc but what about springs driveshaft etc. Trying to cover all bases before I tear into either truck.
Thanks

I would check with the guys in the 76 truck forum, maybe they can enlighten you as to the spring rates if there were any differences. You may be able to use the drive line from the 460, just have it shortened and rebalanced.

You will need to upgrade the springs, as the 460 weighs in at 720lbs. You will need the quad front shock and spring setup from an F150 4x4.
