Well, okay....just wanted to know if what I suggested worked or did he have to do something else. All I got was "3 hookups to 4" and "to the A of the new one"...and I don't have a clue as to what that means.

okay okay okay.....here we go

The original has BAT, ARM & FLD.....the new one has I, A, S, F...So the excitor wire has to go the "A" switch like someone pointed out in this message...That information was VERY helpful and my ezwiring harness diagram was exactly like he had it.....I hope this helps you out now....sorry about the short answer but I thought you knew what I was talking about....

I did make one mistake on that last post people....the excitor wire went to the "I" position of the new voltage regulator...sorry for the bad information there....
