How often you change your oil?

The Ford manual for my '03 says every 7,000 miles but I change mine every 5,000 with 5-30 synthetic.

I change mine every 4,000 miles. my 1988 4.6L is still running like new at 119,000 miles. Same power, Gas milage as new and it does not burn a drop of oil. Valvoline 10W30. Multi grades are not as important in the south. Our tempeture dosent vary as much as the northern sataes

I do our '01 F150 and our '95 Bronco at about 3000 miles. The truck has 36,000 miles and the Bronco has 123,000 miles. Now for the real used vehicle, the '02 E350 15 passenger van I drive for work with 275,000 miles right now (now problems or breakdowns). It gets the oil changed every two weeks, with 6580 miles every two weeks. (not a misprint on the miles) The van gets 470 miles per day, 7 days per week (no holidays), 5.4, Auto, Extended body. The '99 we had did 475,500 miles from Jan. '99 - Apr. '02 with only an alternator and a fuel pump taking it off the road for any time. Sold it for $8500.00. No other major problems.

every 2000 to 3000

I use shell Rotella T 5-40 synthetic, this stuff works great for every vehicle I have ever put it in. they make a non synthetic if the "plastic" oils bother you, but it is 15-40 so I wouldn't use it in the newer fords where they usually call for 5-20 but it might make a good summer-time oil

I have changed the oil three times (every 3K) on the 1997 F150 4.6 4x4 I bought last August. I always use Motorcraft 5w-30 with a Motorcraft 820S filter.

Lately I have been thinking real hard about switching to Motorcraft 5w-20 and extending my oil changes out to 4K.

What? Am I suppose to change the oil in my truck? Just kiddin' I use Chevron Supreme or Havoline 10W30 with a Motorcraft 400S filter every 3k miles.

Starting this next oil change I will be making a blend for my engine. I will use 4 quarts dino and 2 quarts synthetic.
