This is a 2 part ?. Anyone get together in the Greater Cincy area
to go off roading camping etc.
Also anyone know of a good service facility in the area preferably
on the eastern side of town that works on Carbs as in repairs
them and actually knows how to rebuild. I have an 85 Bronco
with a 351w 4bbl and I will admit I am not a carb person and as
such i need to have someone else work on it.
I'm up for a Get together (GTG),maybe not so much as camping or off roading but getting something to eat.
There's only a few of us Cincy folk on this forum. I'm on the west side.
I don't know of any carb specialist on the east side. Most carb rebiuld kits come with instuctions. So people tend to do it themselves. I've done a few in the past, 1bbl (Escorts,Rangers)and 2bbl (79Cordoba)but not 4bbl,it's quite easy though. If you need help let me know.

Grogant: If this carb is OE than it should be a #4180 Holley. No big problem on rebuild EXCEPT there are no idle mix screw showing. They were preset at factory and have a thin casting over top. The most important thing is to replace ALL three gasket under carb..I found them to only be available from ford .The look a likes don't hold up..
This carb has many mod's that can be done. Go to JEG's or summit and buy a holley book. This carb really much like a #4160 but was made to stay within EPA limits.
Regardles of other peoples feeling's it is a good carb.
PS You should also have a Aluminum heat shield under carb. KEEP it

grogant...I can't go camping, but am in the process of putting together a cruise night event in Milford. I'm looking at Saturdays, May through September, 6 to 10 at the River's Edge shopping center, exit 59A off 275, across from the Target. I've got some street rod guys interested, but would like to have some trucks there too. If you or anyone else is interested, call me...Bill @ 513 831 7600. I've been to plenty of these, but have never organised one before.

If you want some "newer" trucks there then get ahold of my friends at the FOKISD group (Ford Ohio Kentucky Indiana Super Duties). They gather in Milford at Charlie Bazils every month.
