Well, here's a bit of ancient history. From Ark City, Kansas. Went to college at Kansas State but finished at Tahlequah in 1969. Spent some time on the AT&SF while going to college, and then Boeing, KG&E, and then Conoco. Any matches?

Tahl, that's where the wife's family hails from.

The Gary I knew I only knew for a short time through a woman. It wasn't pretty and I felt bad about the whole thing, he was a good guy. Ever married a blonde? I'm guessing Gary would be about 60ish now.

Was at NSU from the fall of '67 to May of '69 when I graduated. Didn't marry a blonde, and don't remember a bad scene - especially one involving a woman. Drove a new '69 Bee in April and May of that year, and a 58 Impala prior to that. Hung out at the Church of Christ student center.

Must not have been me as you said he was "a good guy".

heheh! Guess not. Nicest guy you'd ever meet though. A real "grandpa" kinda fella that would take you fishin and feed you full of chili just for shakin his hand. Well, glad ta' meet ya anyway! This seems like a pretty good group.

Hello OKlahoma, Goodby California!

Just retired from my job as a contract mechanic in Bakersfield Ca and resettling in Sapulpa OK. Glad to be here and away from California. Enjoyed my first week here but am tired of unpacking boxes. Is there any end to this?

On the trip out here the engine went away on my F350. Had to leave it in Deming NM and continue on in the rental box truck with all my belongings.

Looking forward to life in the mid west.

Welcome home! I lived in Orange County as a teenager and I have no desire to live in Cali either.

Sorry to hear about your truck. What happened and what are your plans to get it back here? I have a 6.0 and have never touched a 7.3 but would be willing to help if you will be wrenching on it yourself.

Welcome to Oklahoma! You are in the midst of several FTE'ers here in the Tulsa area. We get together annually at my place in Skiatook, but just did that in October.

I was wondering that too, that might me more common language for a 6.0 owner but not a 7.3...

Welcome you will find living here is much better and a whole lot less expensive than California. Only down fall you won't be as close to famso raceway. I have a sapulpa address but live closer to kelleville. If you need anything just let me know.

Yes, welcome! There are several of us in the NE Okie area that are on FTE. I'm in Skiatook and host a get-together in the September timeframe. Hope you can join.
